Waterway and Wetland Program Field Supervisor - Career Executive
The Department of Natural Resourcesis hiring multiple Waterway and Wetland Program Field Supervisors in the Division of External Services. These positions will be located in three of the following locations depending on applicants: 1. Fitchburg (Dane County), 2. Eau Claire (Eau Claire) or La Crosse (La Crosse), 3. Green Bay (Brown County), or 4. Oshkosh (Winnebago County).
In partnership with individuals and organizations, the DNR staff manage fish, wildlife, forests, parks, air, and water resources while promoting a healthy, sustainable environment and a full range of outdoor activities.

**Position Summary:** This position is responsible for the management of the Waterway and Wetland regulatory programs. The Waterway and Wetland Program is a challenging and rewarding program. You will be working with dedicated and hard-working staff who are committed to a positive work environment.This supervisory position is responsible for the leadership and management of a waterway/wetland/floodplain/shoreland/dam safety team in an assigned region in the state. The supervisor will provide guidance, direction and leadership for the proper implementation of this regulatory program. Developing relationships, proper implementation of regulations, and ensuring qualify control are important components of the position. In addition, the supervisor assists in setting statewide policy on program management issues and assures consistency and compliance with statewide policy in regional activities and operations. Other important roles this position holds include development of program staff, contribution to the success of the statewide waterway and wetland programs, and developing and supporting a range of effective internal and external partnership relationships. This position is also responsible for promoting cross program integration with other program supervisors and staff.

* Experience collaborating with internal and external stakeholders
* Leadership experience
Well-qualified candidates will have:
* Experience and/or training with Waterway and Wetland regulatory programs
* Supervisory experience
